Case Study | Brandon Ray
Overview
Challenge
Brandon Ray is truly an expert in his music career. He has a very loyal fan base, a strong brand, and large social media presence. However, when Brandon Ray came to Virtue, his website did not accurately showcase his music and brand.
Brandon came to Virtue with a plan to release a song a month over the next 6 months and beyond. He knew this would generate traffic on his website and online store, and wanted to be able to update his website each month with the new single. The problem, however, was that he didn’t how to make updates to his old website.
Process
The first step of the process was to better understand Brandon and the goals for his website. Brandon chose the Virtue Bands + Artists theme website. I worked with Brandon to work through choosing a theme, photos, colors, and to hear what he liked and disliked about his current website.
Early on, Brandon expressed that it was important to him that his website colors be simple and that anyone who visited his site could easily navigate to his online merch store. In order to accomplish this, I linked his online store for easy access and suggested that we choose a neutral color, that would pair with all of his music artwork.
As is standard with any Virtue website, Brand Ray’s new website is crafted with responsive design, meaning that it will look great on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
